Job title:
Employee Benefits Consultant
Main responsibilities:
Looking after our existing portfolio of clients and assisting them throughout the year, as well as at renewal
Why did you join?
I’ve seen over the years Hooray gaining so many awards at the Health & Protection Awards for providing the best advice to customers for Health & Risk, and I knew I needed to be part of this company. Not many companies are innovative, growing at the pace of Hooray whilst keeping their customers as the main focus point of all aspects of the business
What qualities/experience do you bring to your role?
From starting my career at AXA in the claims department to selling PMI to individuals and SMEs for over 10 years, my focus on customer care and believing empathy is a strength in sales, not a weakness – has allowed me to build a successful career in PMI sales and the privilege to work with lots of amazing clients who have entrusted me with their health and family’s health
What do you like most about the company?
I think Nick and Charlie compliment each so well with their years of background in Health and Risk and they are very much focused on building and retaining relationships, which is echoed through the staff environment here.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
To be able to retain client relationships and help companies focus on their employees and help look to expand their employee benefit packages.
What’s your favourite workplace perk?
The free fruit daily is amazing! Not only keeping us healthier, but helping us save money with all the supermarket inflations currently.
Any hobbies?
I play a lot of darts (not very well). I’m lucky to not only play in our local Uckfield darts league, I also travel across the country and countries to play in tournaments and meet some amazing dart players – which includes meeting Michael Van Gerwen in the Tesco’s in Minehead before he played in the World PDC championship in Butlins
Favourite band/artist?
Amy Winehouse, such a talent gone way too soon
Any guilty pleasures music wise?
Has to be Mr Michael Bolton… I have had many journeys to work belting out his ballads
Favourite film?
Goodfellas
