Job title:

Head of International Benefits

Main responsibilities:

Heading up the International Benefits business, driving business growth, managing a team of consultants, and building relationships with clients and partners.

Why did you join?

I previously worked with Ian so I knew I would enjoy working with him again!  Also, I’ve been following the success of the company over the past few years.  It’s very appealing to be able to use my experience from the corporate world and be part of a more independent and agile business.

What qualities/experience do you bring to your role?

I’ve worked in the employee benefits world for more years than I would like to remember, always in global benefits, so it’s great to use that experience in a smaller organisation and with an expanding team.

What do you like most about the company?

The team is fantastic.  I love that everyone is really motivated to work here and the work culture is very positive.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The variety!  The work is so varied from working with the team and helping them to develop their skills, working with clients and helping them create and deliver their global benefits strategy, to working across the industry with multiple partners and insurers.  I also love working in the international space, so many different cultures and people makes it fun!

What’s your favourite workplace perk?

Seeing the sea when I drive into the office in Brighton!  Also with 2 kids, it’s great to have some flexibility!

Any hobbies?

Most of my spare time is now taken up with doing lots of activities with the kids.  I LOVE travel and it’s fab to be able to take the kids to lots of different places.   Also, when I’m not taking my kids to their activities, I try to squeeze in some time keeping fit!  My favourites include swimming, kayaking, skiing and hiking.

Favourite band/artist?

That’s a hard one as I like a variety of music.  I’ve been to see Coldplay in concert a few times and they were fantastic!

Any guilty pleasures music wise?

I’m an 80’s girl and so Duran Duran, Wham and Spandau Ballet are up there as all time faves!!

Favourite film?

Very difficult to choose.  Love watching action packed liked James Bond, Mission Impossible, Die hard but at a push I’d say The English Patient was a stand-out for me.
